“Broncos happy to get out of Laramie with a Victory”, that was headline from the Idahostatesman this weekend as the Boise State Broncos brought there record to 3-0 and entered the top 25 on both the Coach’s and AP poll. I would say of course the Broncos were happy to get a victory. Should the Broncos feel anything else? Granted it wasn’t a typical blow out win, but are we fans expecting too much. After all the Wyoming Cowboys have only given up an average of 10 points per game this season compared to the Oregon State Beavers who have given up 29.5 points a game. Wyoming was also an extra point away from tying the BCS Virginia and sending the game to another overtime.

The point of the matter is Boise State went into Laramie and played a far better opponent then it had the two previous weeks. Had the game been a National ESPN game on the Blue maybe the score and excitement may have changed, but it doesn’t change the fact Boise State won the game. It should also be noted that the Boise State coaching staff and players have for the first time video in which they were tested. Learning from any mistakes early will only make the team better for the future.

It should also be noted that Boise State has a huge bulls eye on the there back. The games will only get tougher down the road. BSU will have to fight and claw its way into BCS contention and expect more games like this week in the future, but remember a win is a win at the end of the day and you take them whenever you can.
