An Oregon Win at Boise State Would Be Big
Oh how the times are changing. It would appear many Ducks are setting their sights on a win over Boise State on the Blue. Funny just a year ago the Broncos were in the same role, looking to score a big win over the Oregon Ducks on the road. Nick Daschel of Buster Sports claims this is the biggest opener for the Oregon Ducks since 2001 opener against Wisconsin. He further states that this is the biggest road opener for the Ducks since 1999 against Michigan State. Of course the Bronco’s haven’t lost a regular season home game since 2001, which was against Oregon’s fellow Pac-Ten Member, Washington State. This game has lots of intrigue.
The stakes are enormous for both teams. If Oregon wins, it validates the Ducks as a team worthy of a top-10 ranking in 2009. If Oregon loses, it’s going to be an uphill climb to gain national respect. For Boise State, there is nothing close to the Ducks in terms of a marquee name on the 2009 schedule. If the Broncos win and look good doing it, they may get the jump on the Utah’s of the country in the race for a BCS at-large berth.
Oregon will have a new head coach, they will undoubtedly be looking for revenge and Mr. Daschel I am sure the Ducks would like deliver some hits on Kellen Moore.
Then there is the late hit by Boise State’s Ellis Powers on Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli on Sept. 20 that Duck fans can’t seem to let go.
No matter the stakes, I am sure both Bronco and Duck fans can’t wait for September to get here.

I guarantee… the Ducks will be ready, and so will my fellow Oregon fans!
